THE ONE MILLION TREE PLANTING AGENDA

Conserving our planet transcends race, gender, ethnicity, religion and political orientation. It is one characteristic we share, we reside on this planet, and we have to cooperate to preserve it. It is the one hope for future that can unite us.
Global warming is thus a contradiction to us, but if we work together, it can save us on more than a physical level, for just as it takes baby steps to change our environmental behavior, those same steps can be catalysts to changing our socio-political behavior. Going green can be the global movement of the 21st century, much like the movements that defined and transformed the twentieth, for the better. So, we have nothing to lose and everything to gain by giving green a chance.
Green Ambassadors Program is a CESI’s initiative to try and reach as many people as possible, in institutions like (Schools, Hospitals/Health Centres, barracks, prisons, Religious Centres, Police and Prison grounds), Industrial and recreational parks, Depleted forests or in Places where trees have never existed and local communities across the country to spread the awareness and importance of ‘Planting for the future’. Your support gives this program the independence and flexibility needed to tackle some of the most compelling issues of our time. Become a plant for the future Ambassador and join the global family of volunteers working together to build a positive and sustainable future.
We are not asking for any financial assistance. Only a few hours a week or a month will help reach out to people in your immediate community and make a substantial difference to the future of our planet.
Once you register with us, we will provide you access to our Green Resource Guides and an interactive quiz, which will help you to present the One million planting Agenda message to your neighborhood schools, colleges, associations, relatives, friends and colleagues.
Under this Agenda, we have carried out sensitization workshops to communities across Uganda. Our work with indigenous communities and partner organizations has helped establish 170 nurseries. We’ve given out 2,500,000 seeds and planted 4,500,000 trees
